Surrounded by 600 acres of unspoilt Dorset countryside, guests are warmly welcomed and free to explore the farm at their leisure. For walkers and nature lovers, the surrounding landscape offers a peaceful escape, with acres of open meadows, beautiful woodland and tranquil riverside paths to discover throughout your stay.
Fishing lakes have been created for both children and adults to enjoy learning to fish, while paths along the River Frome provide opportunities to experience one of Dorset’s most beautiful chalk streams, renowned for its brown trout and grayling fishing. Fishing on the River Frome and it's tributaries is available for guests during their stay. Please enquire for further information on fishing if you are interested.
The surrounding water meadows are rich in wildlife, and the River Frome is recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, home to rare species including otters and water voles.
Guests are free to walk the banks of the meandering river, however as this area is kept wild some parts may be obstructed with overgrown vegetation. Please be aware of deep water, slippery footbridges and obviously stinging nettles! The cattle are generally friendly but must be respected especially when there are new born calves. Please abide by the Countryside code and close all gates behind you. All children must be supervised at all times. We hope you enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

We recently stayed at Tincleton Lodge and it was amazing! We were there to celebrate a family member's 40th birthday, and it was just superb. Everyone loved the house, the woodburners, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, the decor, just everything! We carved pumkins outside on the beautiful lawn furniture and if it had been warmer in the evening a glass of something fizzy outside listening to the stream would have been lovely.
