Things To Do & See
Harvesting salads at Clyffe Farm. Our light sandy south facing fields together with water from the River Frome is the perfect recipe for growing spinach and baby leaved lettuce.
Mo with Company
Mo, Emily’s horse is happy to share her field at the end of the drive with some Simmental beef cattle.
The River Frome is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. Our own Nature trail follows the meandering river rich in wildlife and home to many rare species.
Our cattle extensively graze the rich pastures and water meadows which are part of a Countryside Stewardship Scheme.
Combinable crops are an important part of crop rotation. Milling wheat varieties are grown for seed
Otter & Martha
Otter our black Labrador loves children & playing in the streams & he's very friendly. Martha our miniature Dachshund is a little more timid but very affectionate.
Over 100 acres of maize are grown on the farm to feed cattle during the Winter months.
Great days outside! enjoy the peace, tranquility and freedom of private woodland and riverside walks.
Stunning streams are home to minnows, sticklebacks, kingfishers and many species of wildfowl. These mute swans hatched cygnets on the edge of the withy bed.
We recently stayed at Tincleton Lodge and it was amazing! We were there to celebrate a family member's 40th birthday, and it was just superb. Everyone loved the house, the woodburners, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, the decor, just everything! We carved pumkins outside on the beautiful lawn furniture and if it had been warmer in the evening a glass of something fizzy outside listening to the stream would have been lovely.
Sue and Gary - Had a wonderful week - the house is superb and disabled facilities first class.

David, Amanda and Emily - Wonderful house in a fabulous location with a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Emily loves all of the animals and we all had some very happy days out and evenings in together. Looking forward to a repeat visit next year.

Julie, Dan, Emily, Ben and Pip – What an amazing house! Absolutely fantastic with gorgeous décor. Loved the beds, showers, baths, garden, even the crockery (the White Company!) The best place we have ever stayed in – Dorset wasn’t bad either! Thank you.
